Advocate Tebogo Motlanthe is the In-House Specialist Legal Counsel at M&M
Attorneys Inc and an admitted Advocate of the High Court of South Africa with
extensive experience in sports law, governance, regulatory compliance, and
institutional dispute resolution.
He has held senior executive leadership roles within South African sports sector,
including serving as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO)
of the South African Football Association (SAFA), where he oversaw governance, legal
compliance, and regulatory administration across the Association’s national structures.
Advocate Motlanthe brings specialist expertise in sports dispute resolution, disciplinary
processes, contract negotiation and drafting, and governance advisory. He has
overseen complex disciplinary and arbitration proceedings, coordinated appeals and
judicial processes, and represented institutions in labour disputes before forums
including the CCMA.
He has played a central role in strengthening institutional governance frameworks,
ensuring constitutional and statutory compliance, and developing regulatory and
judicial systems to support organisational integrity and effective dispute resolution.
